Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor Embryology

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor Embryology to join our team. As a Laboratory Supervisor Embryology, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the embryology laboratory, ensuring that all procedures are performed with the highest level of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of laboratory staff, including embryologists, andrologists, and other support personnel.
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with the laboratory director and other departmental leaders to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and education to laboratory staff on new procedures, techniques, and technologies.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address any quality control or quality assurance issues.
  • Collaborate with the laboratory director and other departmental leaders to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Provide input on budget development and resource allocation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in embryology or andrology.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Ability to provide training and education to laboratory staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a life science or related field.
  • Experience with embryology or andrology laboratory procedures and techniques.
  • Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance software and systems.
  • Experience with budget development and resource allocation.
