Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor Embryology

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor Embryology to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the embryology laboratory, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in our testing and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of laboratory staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to develop and implement new procedures and protocols to improve laboratory efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including CLIA and CAP.
  • Develop and maintain laboratory policies and procedures, ensuring that they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and education to laboratory staff on new procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate laboratory performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical or Biological Science.
  • NYS Department of Education Clinical Licensed Technologist (CLT) certification required within 3 years of being employed.
  • General knowledge of operation of web-based QC platforms, electronic medical records, and document control platforms.
  • Rigorous QA and QC regarding handling of specimens and extreme care and caution in labeling and handling specimens.
