Position Overview:
The Facilities Management Department is in search of dedicated individuals to fulfill the role of Building Service Worker. This position is essential for upholding cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the campus environment. Building Service Workers are tasked with delivering daily cleaning and custodial services across various academic and administrative sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of Building Service Workers encompass a range of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Performing general cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Conducting floor maintenance, including mopping, sweeping, and scrubbing.
- Managing waste disposal and recycling efforts.
- Assisting with event setups and breakdowns.
- Implementing pest control measures as required.
Building Service Workers are trained professionals equipped with modern cleaning tools and techniques to ensure a safe and healthy campus. They collaborate with other departments to maintain cleanliness and organization across all areas. Additionally, they are responsible for monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies and equipment as necessary.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of cleaning solutions and custodial practices is essential, along with the ability to follow oral instructions effectively.
