SBM Management is seeking a PIT Operator. The PIT Operator will be tasked with the safe operation of forklifts within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to safety regulations, policies, and procedures while actively preventing risky behaviors from oneself and others.
  • Ensure compliance with current forklift training and certification as mandated by company guidelines.
  • Execute repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Follow directions and respond appropriately to supervision.
  • Operate lifting devices to load, unload, or stack materials effectively.
  • Engage professionally with leads, supervisors, colleagues, management, and clients.
  • Manage the movement of waste pallets within the PIT area by skillfully positioning forks or lifting devices.
  • Organize and stack waste pallets in designated waste trailers.
  • Verify the security of loads and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Keep the PIT area orderly and free of hazards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
  • Maintain logs and schedules accurately.
  • Remove attachments and waste materials from machinery as necessary.
  • Assist the shift lead in completing assigned tasks.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Understand the principles of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Recognize the importance of reporting systems and environmental considerations.
  • Maintain dock and collection areas effectively.
  • Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recyclable materials.
  • Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Provide support during staff shortages in areas such as custodial, recycling, or maintenance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of six months related experience and/or training.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Forklift certification is required, along with completion of all safety and task training certifications.
Shift:

Sunday-Wednesday 7:30pm-6:00am and 6:00pm - 4:30am.

Compensation: $15.50-$16.00
