Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Youth Care Specialist to join our team at Disability Solutions. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the well-being of youth aged 10-17 who are experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serving as a Treatment Specialist: You will work closely with youth in a therapeutic milieu environment, providing coaching and support to help them develop essential skills and behaviors.
  • Ensuring Safety and Supervision: As a third shift specialist, you will conduct room checks, perform safety protocols, and ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our youth.
  • Maintaining a Safe Environment: You will be responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and inventory management to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Utilizing Evidence-Based Practices: You will apply DBT, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based approaches to support our youth's unique needs.
  • Fostering Engagement and Motivation: By using motivation and engagement strategies, you will encourage our youth to participate in treatment programming and activities.
  • Providing Active Supervision: You will provide ongoing supervision to youth and families with complex needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • You must be at least 21 years old (two years older than the oldest resident).
  • A flexible schedule is necessary, including weekend rotations and holiday coverage.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile, and insurance are preferred.
  • Meet all employee requirements, including references, background checks, drug testing, and drivers' licenses.
