Role Overview

The Senior Operations Manager will oversee the warehouse activities at our Distribution Center. This position is pivotal in orchestrating, coordinating, and managing operations within a large-scale, highly automated facility. As a compliance-critical role, it entails a significant responsibility for ensuring adherence to all corporate, divisional, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of inclusion, equity, and diversity within the Distribution Center.
  • Drive talent development and succession planning across the network.
  • Oversee all facets of warehouse operations, ensuring the seamless functioning of automated systems with a focus on outbound logistics.
  • Lead a team of Warehouse Managers to prioritize initiatives, solve problems proactively, and enhance performance metrics.
  • Manage the order fulfillment process, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Optimize labor utilization and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and policies.
  • Monitor productivity and performance metrics, implementing changes to maximize profitability and minimize costs.
  • Conduct regular reviews of standard operating procedures, recommending enhancements to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise associate relations, including recruitment, performance management, and training of warehouse staff.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and operational.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all associates in the Distribution Center.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess a strong educational background in business administration or related fields, typically demonstrated through a four-year degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role is required.
