Position OverviewMcDonald's is in search of a Director to join our Center HR Team, focusing on People Transformation to support our Global Technology Team. This role involves leading the strategic planning, integration, coordination, and execution of people transformation initiatives within the Global Technology sector. Your primary focus will be on managing the sequencing, resourcing, and implementation of new and ongoing HR initiatives, with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement. You will report to Center HR and maintain a strong collaborative relationship with the EVP of Global Technology. Additionally, you will spearhead a cross-functional Global People working team to ensure effective delivery of initiatives, particularly in close coordination with the Organization Effectiveness, Global Total Rewards, Global Talent, and Learning and Development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Organization Effectiveness team and Global Technology Senior Leadership Team to develop strategic plans that evolve the Global Technology organization. This includes adapting organizational structures to support agile, product-centric workflows across teams and aligning team models for seamless deployment of in-house engineering and data products.
- Facilitate organizational evolution by effectively influencing talent management and development strategies.
- Oversee the execution of organizational structure and operational initiatives.
- Work closely with Global Technology's internal agile and change management resources to ensure alignment between HR and functional project plans.
- Partner with Global People Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partners to sequence the deployment of initiatives and shape Global Technology's people strategy.
- Consult with project leaders to define project charters, structures, roles, resource needs, and governance frameworks.
- In collaboration with the Global Learning and Development team, identify the learning requirements of the function and co-create a functional learning strategy.
- Engage directly with Leadership, vendors, initiative stakeholders, and project owners to identify potential challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and primary contact for transformation workstreams, developing a comprehensive understanding of HR functions and managing project timelines and key milestones.
- Report on initiative progress, deliverables, and metrics to HR Business Partners and the Chief Information Officer, leading update meetings for the Global People function.
- Exceptional strategic acumen to formulate transformation strategies for a large global workforce, driving key elements of McDonald's business growth.
- Meticulous attention to detail and adeptness in managing complex logistics.
- Rapid comprehension of McDonald's HR processes and objectives.
- Ability to swiftly identify and address timing and resource bottlenecks to minimize downtime.
- Proficient relationship builder capable of engaging with stakeholders across HR and Technology functions at various seniority levels.
- Influential talent leader with the capacity to drive initiatives through collaborative relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of project management best practices and the ability to mentor initiative leaders.
- Prior experience in organizational transformation, HR business partnering, or change management is preferred.
- Experience in HR roles within technology organizations is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
