Position Summary:


The Clinical Instructional Faculty for the Physician Assistant Studies program, operating under the guidance of the Program Director and the Academic Coordinator, is tasked with assessing the educational and practical elements of the curriculum.

This role involves close collaboration with both Academic and Clinical Faculty members, with compensation provided on a per-course or lecture basis. This is classified as a non-exempt role.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver educational instruction in designated courses.

2. Design and assess student performance throughout both theoretical and practical training phases.

3. Engage in teaching assignments that may include courses where the faculty member is not the primary instructor (e.g., laboratory sessions, Objective Structured Clinical Examinations, clinical year curriculum).

4. Contribute to all phases of the self-evaluation process.

5. Provide guidance and support to students.

6. Participate in faculty-led initiatives that are essential to the university framework.

7. May engage in outreach activities within the community.

Required Qualifications:

Educational Background:
Master's degree as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Doctor of Medicine/Doctor of Osteopathy (MD/DO).

Current national certification as a PA and eligibility for licensure in the state.

Current board certification as an MD/DO and eligibility for licensure in the state.

Professional Experience:
A minimum of three years of clinical practice experience, with prior teaching experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
1. Proficient oral and written communication abilities, including proper grammar and formal presentation.

2. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.

3. Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

4. Adaptable, resilient, and positive attitude.

5. Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

6. Ability to exercise sound judgment in various situations.

7. Commitment to serving and advocating for diverse populations.
