Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Vice President, you will be tasked with:

  • Leading and overseeing the organization-wide risk management program to ensure adherence to legal mandates, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Creating and implementing training initiatives for staff, medical personnel, and board members focused on risk assessment, historical data analysis, and national trends.
  • Managing the organization-wide occurrence reporting system; analyzing trends and implementing strategies to mitigate risk and liability.
  • Driving performance initiatives for accreditation bodies and ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required; a Postgraduate Degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred or in progress.
  • Current Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse is preferred. If serving as the primary Risk Manager, a Florida license in Healthcare Risk Management is required.
  • Certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or as a Diplomate in the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (CHCQM) is required; candidates without these certifications will have a 12-month grace period to obtain them.
  • Certification as a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Familiarity with State, Federal, and TJC regulations is essential.
  • Previous experience in clinical, risk management, or administrative roles is advantageous.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities, alongside excellent presentation and leadership skills, are required.
  • Critical thinking, commitment to service excellence, and effective interpersonal communication skills are essential.
