Shift Details: 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with routine overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Objective: Execute various forms of manual grinding on components.

Core Functions:

  • Select appropriate holding devices for workpieces, such as chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, and sine plates.
  • Conduct ID (inner diameter), OD (outer diameter), and surface grinding operations.
  • Deburr components during machining processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Set up and operate precision grinding machinery.
  • Perform basic grinding tasks on manual equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on grinding machinery.
  • Inspect finished components for quality assurance.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools, including optical flats, micrometers, and indicators.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including scorecards and hazard recognitions.
  • Interpret blueprints and setup sheets effectively.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Undertake additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent (GED). A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience. Proficient in shop mathematics. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments is essential. Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Demands: Frequent bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 35 lbs. Good hand-eye coordination is required.

Competencies: Ability to perform basic setups and maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Job Specifications: Adhere to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines while performing tasks. Attendance and punctuality are critical for this role. Maintain a high level of ethics and professionalism at all times. Strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) are necessary. Deliver quality results within set deadlines and follow all safety protocols. Participate in at least one Kaizen event annually.

Additional Requirements: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities and technical data. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or U.S. Government export authorization is mandatory. Employment offers are contingent upon obtaining necessary employment visas and export authorizations.
