Senior Medical Strategy Leader

**About the Opportunity**
A new opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Medical Director or Scientific Director to join our team at AbbVie. As a key member of our medical affairs team, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our business and driving innovation in the pharmaceutical industry.
Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
About the Role
We are seeking a talented medical professional with expertise in neuroscience/psychiatry to lead our medical affairs efforts in this therapeutic area. As a Senior Medical Strategy Leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive medical strategies that drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and oversight for assigned indications/projects
- Initiating medical affairs activities and generating data to support product scientific and business strategy
- Developing innovative research concepts for clinical data generation
- Delivering scientific presentations and maintaining professional relationships with key opinion leaders
- Leading cross-functional teams and driving the development of medical affairs objectives aligned with strategy
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A medical doctorate (M.D.) degree or equivalent (D.O. or non-US equivalent of M.D)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical trial or medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry or academia
- Knowledge of clinical trial methodology, data analysis and interpretation, and regulatory requirements governing clinical trials
- Proven leadership skills in a cross-functional global team environment
