Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Provide project leadership and technical expertise to deliver high-quality structural designs for a portfolio of clients.
- Design and Development: Assist in developing scopes of work and level of effort estimates for structural project work, and provide structural engineering design for tanks, basins, and building facilities at water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Design and Analysis: Design concrete, steel, and masonry structures per CBC, and design concrete structures utilizing ACI 318 and ACI 350 for Environmental Structures.
- Condition Assessment: Perform condition assessments of existing structures.
- Design Documentation: Prepare detailed design sketches, and coordinate with designer staff to prepare BIM models and design drawings.
- Construction Administration: Prepare construction specifications, and coordinate structural project work with architects and process, mechanical, and electrical engineering staff.
- Software Utilization: Utilize STAAD Pro, RAM, Enercalc, and other software for structural design.
- Education: B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in Civil Engineering (structural course work emphasis).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design required.
- Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of concrete, steel, and masonry structural design per CBC and referenced standards, and effective oral and written communication essential.
- Licensure: PE license required or able to get within 6 months.
