Tourism Account Manager

About the Role
The Tourism Account Manager will be responsible for:
- Accountable for proactive sales within assigned territory and account base
- Plan and execute for all aspects of the sales process including contracting, negotiations, tradeshows, and sales mission's presence
- Develop and implement territory sales and marketing programs with measurable action plans
- Leverage knowledge and continued development of assigned markets/territory
- Account development with a focus on organic and inorganic growth - build business within existing portfolio and acquire new clients by networking at trade shows, conferences, and business functions
- Apply understanding of market trends/business practices in recommending decisions necessary for enhancing ESB sales processes
- Prepare all presentations and sales pitches as necessary whether for face-to-face meetings or over the phone
What Success Looks Like
The successful Tourism Account Manager will be able to:
- Provide effective leadership to include setting clear expectation, coaching, and feedback
- Identify areas of improvement in our sales processes and implement necessary changes to make it more efficient
- Have a positive and high performing mentality to exceed sales goals
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of sales techniques and customer service best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
