Empire State Realty Trust is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Tourism Account Manager to join our Sales Team for the Empire State Building Experience. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, organization, and customer service skills, with a strong knowledge of Tour & Travel distribution for both domestic and international channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the sales efforts for assigned markets and territory, developing and implementing territory sales and marketing programs, and leveraging knowledge and continued development of assigned markets/territory. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with substantial sales experience within the hospitality industry, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks to manage.

About the Role

The Tourism Account Manager will be responsible for:
  • Accountable for proactive sales within assigned territory and account base
  • Plan and execute for all aspects of the sales process including contracting, negotiations, tradeshows, and sales mission's presence
  • Develop and implement territory sales and marketing programs with measurable action plans
  • Leverage knowledge and continued development of assigned markets/territory
  • Account development with a focus on organic and inorganic growth - build business within existing portfolio and acquire new clients by networking at trade shows, conferences, and business functions
  • Apply understanding of market trends/business practices in recommending decisions necessary for enhancing ESB sales processes
  • Prepare all presentations and sales pitches as necessary whether for face-to-face meetings or over the phone

The successful Tourism Account Manager will be able to:
  • Provide effective leadership to include setting clear expectation, coaching, and feedback
  • Identify areas of improvement in our sales processes and implement necessary changes to make it more efficient
  • Have a positive and high performing mentality to exceed sales goals


Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and customer service best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
