Position Overview:
As an Ophthalmic Clinical Support Specialist, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing essential support to both patients and healthcare providers during clinical visits. Your role is crucial in ensuring a seamless experience for patients while assisting in the operational flow of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage clinic schedules effectively, ensuring timely patient flow.
  • Welcome patients and guide them to their examination areas.
  • Gather and document relevant medical information for patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nursing staff and physicians, to enhance patient care.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Ability to achieve Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification within two years of employment.
  • BLS certification or completion during the orientation period.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Proficient record-keeping skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably Epic.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Paraoptometric Assistant (CPOA).
  • JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT).

Compensation:
Compensation and job classification will be determined based on individual qualifications, including certifications and experience.
