The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is tasked with managing the invoicing, collection, and reconciliation processes of client accounts, ensuring efficient cash flow and reducing the risk of uncollectible debts. This role also involves overseeing and mentoring the accounts receivable team, updating and enforcing policies and procedures, and collaborating with both internal and external partners. The position is pivotal in tracking and reporting on key performance indicators specific to Accounts Receivable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the daily functions of the accounts receivable division, including billing, cash application, credit management, and resolution of disputes.
- Review and interpret accounts receivable aging reports, address any discrepancies, and ensure adherence to the organization's credit policies.
- Compile and assess monthly and quarterly accounts receivable reports, reconciliations, and journal entries, delivering precise financial data to leadership.
- Formulate and execute strategies to enhance accounts receivable workflows, systems, and controls, aligning with the organization's objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and assess the performance of the accounts receivable team, providing necessary training and support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, sales teams, customer service, and other departments, addressing escalated issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations, maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

- High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with a focus on process improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of five years of experience in accounts receivable, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience with ERP systems is essential.
- Regularly required to sit, with occasional walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling, feeling, or operating objects, including computer keyboards.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
