Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee the collection and reconciliation of customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate cash flow, and minimizing bad debts. This role will also supervise and train the accounts receivable staff, maintain and update accounts receivable policies and procedures, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the accounts receivable department, including cash application, credit control, and dispute resolution.
  • Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies, and ensure compliance with the company's credit policies.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly accounts receivable reports, reconciliations, and provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve accounts receivable processes, systems, and controls, and ensure alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate the performance of the accounts receivable staff, and provide guidance and training as needed.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, sales, customer service, and other departments, and handle any escalated issues or inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations, and maintain proper documentation and records.
Requirements
  • Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, especially related to accounts receivable and revenue recognition.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, and ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, and ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a managerial role.
  • ERP experience required.
Working Conditions and Environment
  • Consists of an indoor work office environment with good ventilation, adequate lighting, and low noise levels.
