Job Summary

iParametrics LLC is seeking a skilled Project Cost Engineer/Estimator to join our Project Cost Management Team. This role will focus on managing the cost components associated with civil, structural, and architectural elements of large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Management: Oversee various cost management activities including estimating, cost control, forecasting, and risk analysis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and trade professionals to ensure accurate and efficient project cost management.
  • Reporting: Set up and maintain comprehensive job cost reports, including budgets, commitments, forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Analysis: Track and analyze costs by bid package, field orders, and change categories as defined by the client.
  • Validation: Validate cost proposals from subcontractors and equipment/material vendors.
  • Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliations of project cost reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Design and Construction: Interpret design and construction documents to quantify materials required.
  • Material Management: Perform material take-offs and summarize quantities in an organized manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in project management, cost management, or cost estimating for general contractors or specialty subcontractors with a focus on civil, structural, and architectural scopes.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams). Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, JDE, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6). Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industrial Experience: Experience with industrial and/or semiconductor manufacturing projects.
  • CSI Specification Systems: Knowledge of CSI specification systems for construction.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Collaboration: Capability to work collaboratively with a variety of trade and craft personnel.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work extended hours or off-shift as required by project schedules.
