Lake Huron Medical Center is a 144-bed community facility offering a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services to the residents of St. Clair and Sanilac counties. Our services include emergency care, cancer treatment, comprehensive breast care, bariatric surgery, physical therapy, rehabilitation services, pulmonary rehabilitation, and specialized diabetes management programs.

Affiliated with Lake Huron Medical Group, we provide patient-centered care through various primary and specialty care practices across the Blue Water Area. We have set a high standard for quality healthcare, receiving accolades such as the Women's Choice Award for Emergency Care, an 'A' grade in hospital safety from the Leapfrog Group, the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award, and a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance and oversight of the Physical Therapist, the role involves delivering medically prescribed therapeutic services aimed at restoring function and preventing disability in patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary disorders. Responsibilities are performed in compliance with Physical Therapy standards, as well as state and federal regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements.

This position is part-time, with less than 19 hours of work per week.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Valid state Physical Therapist Assistant license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification (AHA) upon hire and maintenance of certification required.
  • Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
