The Fulton County DUI Treatment Court is dedicated to enhancing public safety and fostering healthier lifestyles among repeat DUI offenders. This program integrates rigorous supervision and accountability with effective treatment, aiming to reduce recidivism rates.
This post-conviction treatment initiative targets individuals with multiple DUI offenses and is part of the probationary phase of their sentences. The program employs an interdisciplinary team approach, which includes judges, prosecutors, public defenders, case managers, probation officers, and substance abuse treatment professionals. Together, we work closely with participants to address their unique needs while promoting accountability.
Under the guidance of the Director of Fulton Judicial Services, the Licensed Associate Counselor will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting individual counseling sessions
- Leading group therapy sessions
- Attending court proceedings as necessary
- Performing additional assigned tasks
Required Qualifications:
- Possession of an Associate License or full licensure to practice in Georgia (LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LCSW)
- Proven knowledge and expertise in mental health and substance abuse services, along with familiarity with community resources.
- A minimum of one year of post-master's experience in providing mental health and/or substance abuse treatment.
- At least one year of experience in case management within community settings or the criminal justice system.
- A valid Georgia driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in facilitating group sessions.
- Understanding of substance use disorders.
- A genuine interest in working with the DUI Court program.
If selected for an interview, candidates should bring a copy of their professional license, driver's license, social security card, academic transcripts, and names of three references.
Note: All applicants must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
