Job Summary

At Versiti Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and apheresis products from donors while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe and efficient donation experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the mobile drive vehicle and transport staff, supplies, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Travel to local collection sites as determined by business need.
  • Prepare collection sites and perform setup, including technology systems.
  • Perform donor screening, mini-physicals, and phlebotomy.
  • Observe donors for reactions, provide reaction care, and assist other staff as needed.
  • Conduct automation, including recognizing and responding to automation reactions.
  • Recruit and convert donors for automation.
  • Rebook donors for future donation appointments.
  • Understand and perform to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and create a safe environment for donors and staff.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant people-facing experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with prior driving experience required.
  • Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts, and information, and/or the use of simple equipment, machines, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude required.
  • Ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions.
  • Flexibility to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to provide feedback to peers.
  • Ability to learn and utilize computer applications, including Ceridian, Hemasphere, Oracle, and HemaTerra.


Tools and Technology

  • Vehicle navigation system.
  • Personal Computer (desktop, laptop, tablet).
  • General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine).
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Screening equipment, including a lancet, sphygmomanometer (BP cuff), temperature probe, and hemoglobin analyzer.
  • Phlebotomy collection equipment, including a blood mixer and Trima.
