Job Overview:
The Facilities Porter / Make Ready Technician is responsible for the regular maintenance of the apartment community, including buildings, amenities, and surrounding areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff.
It is essential that assigned duties are completed promptly, which may involve using tools and equipment in line with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure meticulous upkeep and removal of trash from grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and common areas.
- Assist in cleaning and preparing units, including trash removal from vacant apartments.
- Conduct weather preparation and cleanup as necessary.
- Organize, maintain, and utilize provided supplies efficiently.
- Present a professional appearance that reflects the company's image.
- Complete additional tasks or duties as assigned by community leadership.
Qualifications:
Professional Experience:
At least one year of experience as a Porter is preferred.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions accurately.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer and Internet knowledge is preferred.
Familiarity with on-site resident management software is a plus.
Physical Demands:
Physical requirements may include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
The team member will frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using their feet, legs, back, arms, and hands.
Climbing may occasionally be necessary.Specific vision requirements include the ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The team member will need to work at a personal computer.Must be able to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended or flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
