Job Title: Product Specialist Engineer

Are you a skilled engineer looking to leverage your expertise to mentor teams and contribute to cutting-edge electrical harness designs? We are seeking a Product Specialist Engineer to join our Collins Aerospace Power & Controls Supplier Designed Equipment (SDE) engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review system concepts and design requirements
  • Review component interface documents and supplier manufacturing drawings
  • Evaluate development and certification test procedures and reports
  • Oversight of design and qualification processes
  • Support for investigating issues identified during service or engine tests
  • Implementation of CORE Tools and processes to ensure robust RCCA
  • Assessment of supplier technical capabilities
  • Assistance in cost and weight reduction initiatives
  • Support for process improvement activities and Engineering Standard Work
  • Alignment of supplier technology readiness with Collins' advanced control systems plans
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Experience in harness design, manufacturing, and installation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in developing cutting-edge technical products and solutions
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including, VISIO, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Familiarity with Zuken E3 harness design tool

  • Competitive salary range: $96,000 - $200,000
