Key Responsibilities


The Refugee Finance Specialist is responsible for overseeing the financial activities within the Immigrant & Refugee Services division. This role primarily focuses on monitoring and documenting expenditures related to both client and non-client services for refugee resettlement and employment programs, ensuring compliance with funders' documentation standards.

This position demands exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to maintain precise financial records.
The Finance Specialist will collaborate closely with program staff to guarantee the appropriate allocation of funds, process payments for client-related expenses, reconcile financial statements, prepare comprehensive reports, and offer training support to staff regarding financial protocols.

This role will work in partnership with Resettlement Caseworkers to deliver consistent and timely assistance to clients.



Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related discipline. Ideal candidates will have experience in a non-profit or social services environment, particularly in working with refugee populations. Familiarity with refugee resettlement programs and services is advantageous. Proficiency in English is essential.

Individuals with a combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
