Job Summary

The Department of Health Care Access and Information is seeking a Research Data Supervisor II to oversee the work of the staff in the Healthcare Data Resources Unit (HDRU). The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the work of the staff in the HDRU.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, direct, and supervise the work of the staff in the HDRU.
  • Oversee the production, testing, and dissemination of data sets, statistical data products, and GIS products.
  • Prepare custom analysis of Department of Health Care Access and Information financial, utilization healthcare workforce, claims, and patient-level data in response to queries from within and outside of HCAI.
  • Receive, handle, and process requests for both public use and confidential use of HCAI data.
  • Develop reports and new data products such as healthcare quality indicators for dissemination to the public.
  • Prepare and give presentations to stakeholders such as advisory committee public meetings.
Working Conditions

This position is subject to the Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests filing requirements, which requires disclosure of certain personal economic interests as determined by the Conflict of Interest Code of the Department of Health Care Access and Information.

Benefits

The Department of Health Care Access and Information offers a hybrid telework schedule with a combination of remote and in-office work schedules for CA residents only.

The telework policy is subject to change, and additional in-office days may be required and/or minimal notification may be given to report to the worksite if an urgent need arises.
