This position is part of the Employment Development Department's (EDD) Audit and Evaluation Division (A&ED) within the Policy, Accountability and Compliance Branch. The A&ED provides independent and objective audits, evaluations, technical assistance, surveys, consultation, and other services to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of EDD's programs and functions.

Job Summary:

The A&ED's Survey and Applied Research Section is seeking a Research Data Analyst II to join our team of research professionals. The successful candidate will design studies using survey research techniques and specialized software such as SPSS, provide technical assistance to EDD's leaders, and assist in developing sampling plans and conducting other research efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement studies using survey research techniques and specialized software.
  • Provide technical assistance to EDD's leaders and stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing sampling plans and conducting other research efforts.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve research goals and objectives.

Working Conditions:

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
