Job Title: Research Data Specialist II

About the Role:

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Research Data Specialist II (RDS II) within the Community Programs Data Support Branch.

The RDS II will independently conduct complex data analysis, data validation, data issue resolution, and data support functions in the Community and Specialty Services Data Section (CSSDS) to support the Integrated Systems of Care Divisions (ISCD) waivers and programs.

This will require ongoing data system and data analysis to support ISCD's programs and waivers in accordance with DHCS' specifications and requirements.

The CSSDS performs a broad range of data collection, analysis, research, and quality assurance activities, and is responsible for all state and federal reporting requirements across all programs and federal waivers to support the ISCD.

These activities support and enhance efforts to ensure the provision of appropriate, necessary, and high-quality medical services to eligible Medi-Cal beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex data analysis and data validation to support ISCD's programs and waivers.
  • Independently resolve data issues and provide data support functions in the CSSDS.
  • Perform ongoing data system and data analysis to support ISCD's programs and waivers.
  • Ensure compliance with DHCS' specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the CSSDS team to perform data collection, analysis, research, and quality assurance activities.
