Job Description and Duties

The Research Data Specialist II will play a critical role in creating, designing, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on complex research projects, activities, and/or strategies that significantly impact housing and homelessness policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative methods for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data
  • Identify new strategies or sources for collecting data
  • Coordinate data migration efforts
  • Assess patterns to forecast future impacts and trends
  • Make policy recommendations for consideration by the Department's Executive staff

Requirements:

  • Direct experience using or developing data tools, including dashboards, spatial data tools, and/or visualizations
  • Direct experience with analyzing, collecting, and interpreting data related to housing and homelessness policy or programs
  • Ability to disseminate technical information to audiences with varying expertise
