Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, dentists, and other dental care providers
  • Schedule patient appointments and verify demographic information
  • Ensure proper insurance and financial information is recorded
  • Coordinate laboratory cases, patient appointments, and recalls
  • Initiate calls to schedule recall and re-care appointments
  • Answer incoming calls from patients, dentists, and other dental care providers
  • Route calls to residents or faculty when appropriate
  • Fill in for other front office positions as needed
  • Enroll and authorize patients for clinical care and procedures
  • Research and resolve any insurance or patient transaction errors
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant office experience
  • Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute an equivalent rate for the required experience
  • College degree preferred
  • Two years of appropriate dental office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of all phases of dental treatment preferred
  • Knowledge of clinic efficiency preferred
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
