Job Overview

Position Summary: The Procurement Specialist is responsible for acquiring a diverse array of goods and services essential for operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure various commodities and services.
  • Establish and nurture supplier relationships focusing on optimal quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing, including the negotiation of long-term contracts.
  • Operate within a Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) environment.
  • Manage the complete supply chain process, including needs assessment, requisition validation, Request for Quotation (RFQ) procedures, negotiations, contract awards, and ongoing follow-up.

Professional Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering is preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in procurement.
  • Familiarity with the aerospace sector is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
  • Experience with MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to read small text.
  • Work involves various physical activities including standing, walking, reaching, sitting, bending, and lifting.
