Overview:

At dnata catering U.S., we are dedicated to attracting top talent and fostering their professional growth through comprehensive training and mentorship programs. We are currently seeking a Acquisition Specialist (Food & Beverage) to enhance our operations.

As an Acquisition Specialist (Food & Beverage), your main duties will involve preparing and expediting procurement orders while overseeing the approval process until the delivery of goods or services. You will also be responsible for assessing and restocking inventory levels, coordinating delivery schedules, and ensuring that the correct materials are requested for the kitchen. Your role will include maintaining precise records, offering guidance on inventory management and scheduling, and executing specialized administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate the procurement of essential ingredients.
  • Prepare, monitor, and expedite procurement orders while ensuring timely approvals.
  • Establish and implement systems to enhance product cost management.
  • Review and manage inventory levels of uniforms, personal protective equipment, pantry supplies, and operational materials.
  • Schedule deliveries for stock items efficiently.
  • Monitor expenses to ensure adherence to budgeted food costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of critical products.
  • Ensure accurate recording of receiving transactions in relevant systems.
  • Investigate, track, and resolve any accounting discrepancies.
  • Support the three-way matching process in collaboration with stakeholders and the Accounts Payable department.
  • Continuously monitor the status of primary vendor accounts.
  • Maintain organized and accessible documentation.
  • Provide insights on scheduling and inventory planning based on data analysis.
  • Perform specialized administrative support tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national regulations as well as company policies.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or a minimum of three years of relevant experience in procurement and sourcing.

Skills:

  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Preferred background in customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in purchasing and ordering processes.
  • Preferred experience in the food and beverage sector, including food manufacturing or inflight catering.

Work Environment:

This position primarily operates indoors, where the noise level may vary from minimal to loud.
