Position Summary

The Clinical Office Assistant will perform a blend of administrative and clinical responsibilities within our practice. This role involves managing patient flow, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining effective communication with patients regarding their appointments and insurance matters. Responsibilities include greeting patients, activating their files, and performing essential office functions such as answering calls, scheduling appointments, and processing payments.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage patient flow in and out of examination rooms and assist in coordinating the provider's schedule while communicating any delays.
  2. Prepare for patient visits by gathering historical medical records and relevant test results, ensuring accurate data entry into clinic databases.
  3. Schedule follow-up appointments and procedures according to established guidelines.
  4. Assist patients with check-in and check-out processes, including co-pay collection and demographic data collection.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Education in medical assisting or a related field, either completed or in progress, is highly preferred.
  2. Experience with electronic health record systems is advantageous.
  3. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is required.

  6. Proficient in computer systems, including Excel and Word, with a capacity to learn new software quickly.
  7. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Work Schedule

  • 8-hour shifts
