Role Summary:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will offer strategic leadership and oversee staff management for the chapter. This role involves collaborating with volunteer leaders to leverage their skills and enthusiasm to further the Foundation's mission. The CEO will be accountable for securing individual and foundation contributions, event fundraising, and fostering partnerships that enhance community engagement and awareness. This position requires travel within the market area to connect with stakeholders and serve as a prominent representative of the Foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

Board and Volunteer Collaboration
  • Develop and implement a compelling vision for the chapter, working alongside volunteer leaders and staff to drive revenue growth.
  • Identify, recruit, and engage impactful volunteers.
  • Establish strong partnerships with volunteers and supporters, fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Support chapter volunteer committees to ensure successful campaigns and increase mission support.
  • Act as a key community leader, building relationships and raising awareness about the Foundation's impact.
Fundraising Initiatives
  • Identify major gift prospects locally and collaborate with the national team to secure significant contributions.
  • Engage and recruit major revenue partners to enhance fundraising efforts for special events and campaigns.
  • Oversee staff and implement fundraising strategies to achieve revenue goals through various activities.
  • Assist in identifying volunteer leadership and corporate sponsorship for events.
  • Manage the cultivation, solicitation, follow-up, and recognition processes for donations.
  • Maintain thorough records for fundraising events and activities.
Communications Strategy
  • Coordinate marketing and promotional efforts for fundraising events and programs.
  • Build relationships with media outlets to enhance brand awareness.
  • Participate in key activities such as donor events and educational initiatives.
Leadership and Team Development
  • Supervise chapter staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and respect.
  • Facilitate communication across various functional areas within the chapter.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with regional and national leadership.
  • Provide mentorship to staff across different roles.
Administrative Oversight
  • Manage chapter financials, budgets, and operational plans.
  • Ensure financial performance aligns with chapter guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in non-profit fundraising and/or executive leadership.
  • Proven track record in successful fundraising, including major gifts and special events.
  • Experience in volunteer recruitment and engagement.
  • Strong strategic thinking and committee leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence and manage teams effectively.
  • Experience in communications related to the healthcare sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
