Responsibilities:

* Review Part B Drug assistance applications for accuracy and submit and monitor Part B Drug applications, communicating status to clinics.
* Counsel patients on their financial responsibilities for high-cost drugs and the process of applying for assistance.
* Provide resources and guidance for patients with copay assistance programs and insurance guidelines.
* Review clinic appointment schedules to identify patients needing free drug.
* Answer phone calls promptly to assist patients and payors with questions and concerns.
* Inform business office and clinic staff of changes in drug assistance policies and procedures.
* Participate in bi-weekly and quarterly meetings with drug company reimbursement specialists.
* Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
* Identify Part B Drug delinquent accounts prior to patient office visit and notify patient of clinic payment expectation and relay this information to appropriate personnel for collection.
* Perform other duties as assigned by business office manager, CFO, administrator, or physicians.

Requirements:

* Must be organized, pay attention to details, and be motivated to provide excellent patient care.
* Have proven excellent communications skills.
* Be a collaborator who works cooperatively and respectfully with all doctors, supervisors, and co-workers.
* Displays a desire to perpetually learn and grow.
* Efficient and highly accurate user of applicable information technology and healthcare management systems.
* Proven provider of professional and friendly customer/patient service experience.
* Experience with insurance and out-of-pocket patient responsibility preferred.
* Awareness of drug assistance programs, policies, and procedures preferred.
* High comfort level with medical terminology and financial conversations.
* Excellent skills in ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention-to-detail and accuracy in work.
* High School Degree or GED.
