Mott MacDonald is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our established Water sector team.

This position is available in various locations across the United States.

Your role will involve working on multiple projects within the water/wastewater domain, requiring substantial experience in the planning, design, and construction of diverse pumping systems and hydraulic systems adhering to HI standards for complex systems.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead and oversee engineering initiatives for planning, design, and construction phase services on municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and reuse infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on hydraulics, pumping, and piping systems.

Conduct and review detailed calculations for pumping systems, including system head development, pump selection, and surge analysis as necessary.

Utilize hydraulic modeling software.
Prepare technical documents, reports, drawings, specifications, and engineer's estimates for construction costs.
Support field investigations and data collection, including participating in or leading field tests to validate designs.
Conduct engineering and hydraulic calculations.
Analyze data, review technical information, and perform technical evaluations.
Assist with construction submittal reviews, respond to contractor inquiries, interpret contract documents, and observe field conditions.
Troubleshoot pumping and hydraulic issues in the field, providing analysis for resolution.
Lead the start-up of complex pumping systems and controls.
We welcome applications from candidates with the following qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer with the capability to obtain a Florida PE within 6 months.

15+ years of experience with significant expertise in the planning, design, and construction of pumping systems and hydraulics in accordance with HI standards for complex systems.

Mentoring junior engineers.
Self-motivated with the ability to lead and manage teams and projects.
Strong technical skills related to pumping, piping, and hydraulics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present effective technical reports.

Proficient in using and guiding others in industry-standard software (such as PipeFlo, WaterCAD, InfoWater, SewerCAD, and InfoSewer).


Compensation:
$100,000 - $135,000
