Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Networks team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our global network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement large-scale network environments to meet the high-performance and availability requirements of our trading and research platforms.
  • Manage and monitor our low-latency trading network, ensuring optimal performance and capacity.
  • Collaborate with our Systems and Trading Operations teams to build, manage, and monitor our global network infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement network security measures to protect our systems and data.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our network infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related IT field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in low-latency and high-frequency trading environments.
  • Deep understanding of common layer 2 and layer 3 network protocols and best practices.
  • Experience managing Arista, Cisco, and other common networking devices.
  • Familiarity with low-latency microwave networks and/or optical transmission systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux command line utilities and networking stack.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills on a wide range of networking issues.
What We Offer:
  • Annual base salary range of $150,000 to $250,000.
  • Sign-on and discretionary performance bonus.
  • Company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
