ResponsibilitiesRole Overview: As a Project Management Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting project task identification, workload organization, acquisition oversight, financial management, and cost accounting. Key Duties: Lead and manage project initiatives while ensuring effective administration. Assist in budgeting, project planning, and maintain essential program data using various business tools such as SAP/Navy ERP, Work in Progress Database, and Program Management Tools. Act as the primary liaison with government program teams on project-related matters. Supervise contractor compliance with requirements and manage resource allocation for projects. Support project leads in executing program tasks and respond to administrative inquiries while facilitating the daily operations of assigned projects. Provide comprehensive acquisition management throughout the project lifecycle. Occasional travel may be necessary to meet client needs. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, or management is preferred. Completion of Defense Acquisition University Level 2 or equivalent training is advantageous. Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in DoD acquisition, with at least one year in program management; four years of experience is preferred. Required Knowledge: Familiarity with Navy procedures, project budget development, and government procurement policies is essential. Experience with Navy ERP is highly desirable. Competencies: Demonstrated leadership abilities and a solid understanding of team dynamics within the organization. Ability to work within established guidelines and recommend improvements to achieve team objectives. Other Requirements: An active DoD Secret clearance is mandatory. Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Technology Skills: Competent in using personal computers, printers, copiers, and other standard office equipment.
