Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all functions within the unit/department during the designated shift.
In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Participate in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with management.
- Work with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Contribute to facility engagement efforts by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
- Provide recommendations related to the recruitment, selection, and training of new staff.
- Recommend and implement actions regarding training and development, conflict resolution, compliance with personnel policies, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree to be obtained within one year of employment.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in Orthopedics.
