Wednesday - Morning/Evening
Thursday - Morning/Surgical Procedures
Friday - Surgical Procedures
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and document findings accurately.
- Order and analyze diagnostic tests.
- Formulate diagnoses, develop treatment strategies, and request necessary ancillary tests.
- Collaborate with specialists and interventional practitioners.
- Assist in fracture reductions.
- Provide surgical care in an office setting.
- Administer injections and prescribe oral medications.
- Prepare and authorize prescription orders and refills.
- Educate patients on medications and treatment plans.
- Assist with orthopedic device application and brace measurements.
- Document patient progress and transcribe medical orders.
- Manage patient inquiries and provide consultations.
- Ensure continuity of care and monitor patient progress.
- Execute emergency treatment procedures when necessary.
- Support direct patient care management.
Administrative Duties
- Provide necessary documentation and coding for healthcare services.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to committees.
- Engage in professional development initiatives.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program (Mandatory)
- 2-3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an orthopedic or family practice setting (Mandatory)
- Current and valid licenses and certifications
- Exceptional customer service abilities
- Proven conflict resolution skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Preferred experience in an operating room environment
