Position Overview:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the main liaison for our clients and consumers. This role involves assisting customers while ensuring a positive interaction. The CSR is tasked with identifying and delivering proactive solutions for customer inquiries. Additionally, the CSR manages a portfolio of accounts and processes orders using SAP, fostering and nurturing relationships with clients. Administrative support duties are also part of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
- Respond to and follow up on inquiries, both verbal and written, from customers, vendors, and consumers.
- Utilize Zendesk to manage comments, questions, and complaints.
- Ensure thorough follow-up on all customer interactions.
Account Management:
- Process orders via EDI, email, fax, and phone.
- Coordinate logistics for transportation.
- Track orders through to completion and delivery.
Administrative Duties:
- Prepare reports related to shipping/receiving, sales, production, and inventory as required.
- Provide administrative assistance to management and team members as necessary.
- Manage document scanning and maintain clear written correspondence.
- Assist with event coordination and general office tasks as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform practical hands-on work and other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High School diploma or GED, with 3 to 5 years of professional customer service experience.
- A combination of higher education and relevant experience is advantageous.
- Experience in a fast-paced, multi-tasking customer service environment is essential.
- Background in production and/or sales environments is a plus.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to understand and interpret basic customer information.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and enthusiasm.
- Results-oriented with effective follow-through.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SAP and/or EDI is beneficial.
- Strong administrative capabilities.
