Staff Accountant Job Description

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating accounting records and files, posting journal entries and reconciling accounts, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Conduct regular ledger maintenance and account reconciliation.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or - MUST
  • Major in Accounting or Finance, or related field. - MUST
  • Must have a minimum 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
