Nursing Assistant I

Serves as a Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility, providing essential support to residents and patients.
Responsibilities- Performs daily living activities for or with residents/patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Transports residents/patients to designated areas within the facility, promoting mobility and accessibility.
- Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone calls, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Takes and records vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, as well as food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
- Ensures resident/patient safety, comfort, and privacy when performing responsibilities, adhering to infection control regulations.
- Communicates pertinent resident/patient information to appropriate personnel, promoting effective care coordination.
- Abides by all infection control regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Completes annual Rehabilitation and Nursing competencies successfully, demonstrating ongoing professional development.
- Completes 12 hours of in-service education annually, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Responds to call bells, alarms, or intercom system for any resident or patient, determining their needs and providing timely support.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant Training program and listing with the Nurse Aide Registry with the Department of Facility Services required.
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience in clinical specialty desired.

We offer a competitive salary range of $24.16 per hour (Hiring Range), with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity.
This is a full-time position with a standard hours per week of 36.00, offering a variable work schedule and onsite work assignment.
Exempt from overtime, this position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System.
This is not a State employed position.
