Job Summary:
Serves as a Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility, providing high-quality care and support to residents/patients.
Responsibilities:
- Performs activities of daily living for or with residents/patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and privacy.
- Provides transportation for residents/patients to designated areas within the facility.
- Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers the telephone.
- Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, as well as food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
- Communicates pertinent resident/patient information to appropriate personnel.
- Abides by all infection control regulations.
- Completes annual Rehabilitation and Nursing competencies successfully.
- Completes 12 hours of in-service education annually.
- Answers call bells, alarms, or the intercom system for any resident or patient to determine their needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant Training program and listing with the Nurse Aide Registry with the Department of Facility Services.
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience in a clinical specialty is desired.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with a standard 36-hour workweek. The salary range is $24.16 per hour, with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity.
