Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide basic care, including feeding, toileting, and transferring residents.
  • Monitor and report any changes in a resident's condition to the nursing staff.
  • Assist with ambulation and transfers, and provide support with mobility and balance.
  • Participate in bowel and bladder rehabilitation programs, and assist with collecting specimens and measuring intake and output.
  • Take temperatures, pulse, and respiration, and prepare ice packs or other resident care equipment as needed.
  • Observe residents and note any changes or unusual findings, and report them to the Charge Nurse.
  • Attend regularly scheduled in-service classes to maintain professional development and stay up-to-date on industry regulations.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • NYS Certification as a Nurse's Aide
