Key Responsibilities:


We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Civil Engineering Intern to become a part of our Transportation division for an engaging internship experience.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in real-world projects, acquire invaluable hands-on experience, and collaborate with seasoned professionals in the transportation engineering domain.

This entry-level internship focuses on the design of roadways.

Tasks are structured to enhance professional knowledge and skills, necessitating the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in executing a series of related engineering assignments.

Limited judgment is required regarding work details and in making initial selections and adaptations of engineering options.

Close supervision is provided for new aspects of assignments.


The role typically involves fundamental CADD tasks using Microstation and basic design assignments such as establishing horizontal alignments, setting grades, detailing, and quantity takeoffs for project components.

These components generally encompass roadway, drainage, traffic control, signage, signals, structures, and various other improvements. Close supervision is essential, and frequent mentoring is offered to cultivate proper engineering skills. The ability to collaborate effectively within a team is crucial.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering with a concentration in transportation engineering.

Strong academic performance with coursework in transportation planning and design.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other engineering design tools.

Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Familiarity with environmental and sustainability considerations in transportation engineering is advantageous.

Prior internship experience or coursework related to transportation engineering is preferred.
