Position Overview:
This is an on-call role designed for a qualified industry expert who will contribute to the education of students enrolled in the Practical Nursing program. The instructor will provide support in both classroom and clinical settings as required.

The key responsibilities encompass the planning, organization, and execution of effective instructional training within a professional educational environment. This role aims to guide, motivate, and empower students to cultivate the necessary skills for a successful transition into the healthcare profession.


Core Responsibilities:


Deliver instruction aligned with established syllabi, curriculum, and lesson plans, while offering constructive feedback to full-time faculty regarding student engagement and alignment with industry standards.Develop and implement engaging and varied learning experiences that maintain student interest while effectively conveying information and fostering skill development, with a strong focus on experiential learning, all while adhering to the course syllabus and educational framework.

Clearly communicate objectives and defined competencies for the program and all educational activities.

Prepare classroom and laboratory settings for daily instructional activities. As directed by full-time faculty or lesson plans, assign and evaluate student work, including homework, tests, and assignments, in a timely manner. Observe, assess, and document student performance and progress, providing constructive feedback.

Alert full-time faculty to emerging issues before they escalate. Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing appropriate guidelines and procedures; collaborate with full-time faculty as needed. In conjunction with full-time faculty, ensure that student records are updated in real-time.

Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all matters, particularly regarding student information. Ensure compliance with safety standards in accordance with all institutional, local, state, and federal regulations.

Adhere to FERPA guidelines and requirements.
Exemplify a professional atmosphere for students in both classroom and lab settings. Actively participate as a member of the instructional team for the program. Collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure adherence to all standards and conditions necessary for maintaining COE accreditation. Assist with biannual Occupational Advisory Committee (OAC) meetings as needed.

Comply with institutional policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of industry experience required. Active RN License is mandatory. BSN is preferred. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential. The role may require occasional sitting, standing, reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, pushing, and pulling items weighing 25 pounds or less.

This position necessitates manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the capacity to follow both written and verbal instructions and procedures.
