Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Control Specialist to join our team at Los Alamos National Laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling team transports, tracking metrics, and serving as a liaison between our group and other LANL groups and external organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule team transports, including tracking metrics
  • Serve as a liaison between our group and other LANL groups and external organizations
  • Develop viable solutions to address packaging, shipping, and transportation needs of the team
  • Manage inventory and materials, including tracking and reporting
  • Collaborate with management, assembly personnel, and Weapons System Engineering personnel to ensure successful project outcomes
Requirements
  • 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with inventory control and material tracking systems
  • Knowledge of production work planning and control methods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Classified Parts Management experience
  • Working knowledge of LANL FootPrints, PDMLink, and Classified Parts Inventory Management System (CPIMS) databases
  • Familiarity with writing Interm Hazard Classifications (IHC)
  • Familiarity with 49 CFR DOT regulations parts 100- 185
