The Cloud Storage Platform team at Tesla is seeking a seasoned systems engineering leader to help design and develop core infrastructure configuration management systems and CI/CD pipelines that enable the company to scale faster and securely.

This platform plays a vital role in providing infrastructure services as managed services, powering everything from the datacenter to the factory floor.

In this role, you will collaborate with our global datacenter, cloud, networking, and load balancing teams to develop a world-class, secure, and fault-resilient storage layer for our workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop core infrastructure configuration management systems and CI/CD pipelines
  • Maintain our growing Linux fleet and solve problems through automation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a secure and fault-resilient storage layer
  • Propel systems automation, configuration management, and provisioning standardization processes
  • Author technical documentation, reference architectures, policies, and best practices for our platforms

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Python or Bash
  • Proficiency with Linux systems fundamentals
  • Experience working with containers and a strong understanding of container architectures
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams globally
  • Self-driven with an analytical, first principles mindset and a bias for action

Expected Compensation: $140,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
