Patient Care Technician I

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support services in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of patient care by performing specific tasks as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient transport.
- Collect and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, weights, and blood glucose levels.
- Report any abnormalities or changes in patient condition to the primary nurse promptly.
- Participate in walking rounds with the oncoming and off-going PCT at shift change.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current NYS Certified Nurse Aide Training certificate preferred or completion of first clinical rotation at an accredited school of nursing.
- AHA BLS provider certification course required.
- Three to six months of CNA or PCT experience preferred.
This role is based at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, where you will work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
