Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Space Policy Management Analyst to provide full-time support to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) National Risk Management Center (NRMC). As a key member of the team, you will conduct research, analysis, and process mapping to develop strategic documentation that assists the NRMC in developing strategic ideas, initiatives, and programs for DHS space-related activities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of national security laws, policies, executive orders, directives, congressional authorizations, and other governing documents related to space systems and space-based services.
- Assist in conducting fact-finding discussions with DHS components and offices to document responsibilities for space-related efforts across the Department.
- Develop a comprehensive DHS Space Strategy and Implementation Plan.
- Produce strategic documents, including a Strategy Paper that outlines the vision, mission, and goals for the new CIPAC body.
- Develop analytical products and reports, including a technical White Paper on sector or cross-sector risk to space systems or space-based services.
- A Public Trust is required.
- Bachelor's degree with 12 or more years of relevant experience in a professional, academic, or public policy setting; or a Master's degree and 10 or more years of relevant experience in a professional, academic, or public policy setting.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of Space policy.
- Exhibits superior oral and written communication skills.
- Possesses the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and assignments with limited oversight.
- Show initiative and have the ability to learn quickly.
