Job Title: Technical Project Lead for Space Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Lead to join our team at INCA Engineering. As a Technical Project Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical project control, oversight, and interface with stakeholders and collaborators on novel space systems programs at DARPA in Arlington, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead periodic performer assessments to analyze program, technical, and schedule risks; develop risk mitigation strategies; communicate findings to program manager
  • Evaluate and guide technical reports, briefings, and other performer communications
  • Engage stakeholders and collaborators across various DoD agencies and services
  • Shape and oversee early operational analysis
  • Administer programmatic activities, including development of technical analyses, identification of technology gaps, technical risk management, project cost estimation, technology transfer efforts, and supporting technical reviews
  • Prepare DARPA work products, including presentations and reports
  • Attend and organize program reviews, site visits, and field tests

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience with space system engineering or mission operations
  • A background in physics, electrical engineering, or aerospace engineering
  • US Citizen
  • Active or in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Access required

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with one or more technologies, including electronic warfare, hardware and software design, and flight software design
  • Prior experience working on programs at DARPA as a technical and program management support contractor
  • Knowledge of DARPA processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated program management expertise, preferably as a project lead
  • Expertise and strong interest in the above technical areas
  • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar areas needed to broadly support program goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project and PowerPoint
  • Experience developing and testing space technology
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Self-starter who is willing to take the lead and provide support in a team role in a complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary work environment
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests
  • Flexible and readily adaptable to change
  • Familiarity with DARPA technical, programmatic, and contractual environment
